The easiest way to get an undergraduate degree that will help you land a job in cultural resource management is to get the cheapest degree from a quality, accredited institution located in a town where you can get a job. There are more than 3,000 four-year institutions in the country, so you can be sure to find some affordable gems in a gem store that big. Another benefit is the sheer number of accredited schools in the United States. Some universities are jacking up their rates way faster than others. The best thing about the rapid rate of tuition increase is the fact that it’s not happening at the same rate at every school in the country. The biggest ticket out of poverty and assurance of a middle class life-a college education-continues to slip out of our grasp. The worst thing is college costs are raising faster than the income of middle class families. This is shocking but that rate of increase is less than half of what tuition rose during the recession (talk about kicking us when we were down). ![]() According to the College Board, tuition at four-year private colleges increased 11% in the last five years and it rose 13% at four-year public schools. Only home loans are a bigger share of our debt load.Īdding insult to injury, college tuition continues to rise. Undergrad degree: Get it cheap and fastĪmericans owe over $1.26 trillion in student loan debt. Only get the degree(s) you need as soon and fast as you can for as cheap as possible. But, how much to borrow? When should you do it? This is the paradox: you need experience to get a job and a degree to get experience but most people do not have the money to pay for the degree that you need to make money doing archaeology, so the only way to get the degree is to borrow money. With degree inflation spreading across CRM archaeology, college degrees are even more important for those who want to make a career out of this. And, I’ve also been truthful about the value of undergraduate degrees when it comes to working in CRM-they’re not necessary unless you want to get paid to do archaeology. It’s no secret how I feel about how well universities are preparing cultural resource management archaeologists. We haven’t even graded any assignments yet and you’re telling us we’re failing? C’mon. The school year has hardly started and news outlets are already lamenting the way our higher education institutions are failing their students. ![]() The South’s cycle of failing higher education Too many universities are failing their students As a PhD student candidate, I always get a little queasy whenever I see articles like these: Today’s hack isn’t as lightning quick as I thought it would be, but I’ve had something on my mind for the last few years–advice I’ve given others based on my own personal experiences. Quick as lightning, these tips are designed to help you make the impact of Mjölnir on your next project.) github.( This is part of a new and ongoing series called Thor’s Day Cultural Resource Management Archaeology Hacks. I could use a push (or a kick) in the right direction, I know this is like shouting into the abyss I can probably enumerate in a single hand those who understand all the jibber jabber above enough and also know Epicor’s implementation… I’m looking at your, , if someone has any ideas I’m open to trying things! Maybe I’m missing some scope or something. ![]() This leads me to believe that maybe Epicor doesn’t support MSAL V2? But I can’t really confirm this because in the grand scheme of things a token is a token and all Epicor has to do is validate the signature which is signed with the same tenant / client so I’m a little lost. I am using the same ClientID and the Same Tenant everything is exactly the same but Epicor doesn’t like my newly acquired token. Delegate returned false, securitytoken: ‘’.” However Epicor won’t accept my token, I get one of two errors When I try to upgrade / change to use MSAL V2 (for Angular 11) everything still works fine (on the Azure side) The issue is that this is a deprecated library and an old version with lots of security issues etc also the latest supported version is Angular 6 (currently Angular 12 is out) With all that said, I can write a pretty simple app using MSAL V1 that works fine authenticates against Azure (no issue) and the resulting Token can be used with Epicor Standing Ovation Further more MSAL V1 has been deprecated in favor of MSAL V2
